OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (K - 6th grade)

Nehemiah Partners is an after school program which operates Monday through Friday during the school year from 3 - 6:30 for K - 6th grade.  When the kids first arrive, they are offered snacks and help with their homework. After that, each of our kids participates in a variety of activities such as art, physical fitness, computer skills, nutrition class and recreation, just to name a few. Additionally, we offer a variety of field trips that can show our kids new and exciting possibilities. The goal of these field trips is to show our kids that anything is possible for their lives.  By exposing our kids to new and different experiences in life, they build the skill sets necessary to overcome adversity and break through cultural barriers.

OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (7th - 8th grade)

Nehemiah Partners now offers an after school program for 7th - 8th grade students. This program operates Tues - Thurs during the school year from 4:30 - 6:30. The curriculum used is called "Botvin Life Skills". Through this program, students develop self-management skills that help them enhance self-esteem, develop problem-solving abilities, reduce stress and anxiety, and manage anger. They gain skills to meet personal challenges such as overcoming shyness, communicating clearly, building relationships, and avoiding violence. Students build effective defenses against pressures to use tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.and doing other group building activities.

OUR KIDS CAFE PROGRAM

In Erie County, one in four kids face food insecurity.  To combat this, Nehemiah Partners opened up a Kids Cafe which provides a free hot meal every day we are open and nutritious snacks for the kids.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Nehemiah Partners greatly depends on the generosity of the community, individuals, churches and corporations to fund our programs.

Since 2007, Nehemiah Partners has been a cornerstone in the community by building leaders of the next generation. Nehemiah gets no government funding.  All of our operating capital comes from generous gifts from committed donors and Community Foundations.  God has blessed Nehemiah with many resources and gifts along the way, like our beautiful historic building, the financial support of committed supporters, and the incalculable hours of time spent by the wonderful individuals to make the Nehemiah Center what it is: an opportunity to change kid's lives and make a difference in our community, all for the glory of God!
