Deb Prete, Chairperson of the Board and President of Executive Committee
Deb is a principal owner of Prete Builders. She has been deeply involved in Nehemiah Partners from its inception. Deb combines her administrative skills in running a small business together with her love of children and our community to make a great leader. Her ties to the community are especially helpful in our fundraising efforts.
Jeff Ferrell, Vice President of Executive Committee
Jeff is a retired firefighter, serves as Perkins Twp. Trustee. President of the Erie County Land Bank, and sits on the Friends of Pipe Creek and Erie Co. Solid Waste District Boards.
Bob Boehk, Secretary of the Board and the Executive Committee
Bob is an attorney licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Arizona. Formerly employed as General Counsel of the Erie Group of Companies in Sandusky, Ohio for over 25 years, he and his family now own and operate Maintenance Systems of Northern Ohio located in Elyria, Ohio, doing asphalt repair and maintenance. Bob brings 30 years of administrative, legal and construction experience to serve the Center in many areas including safety, risk management, human resource and volunteer management.

Jeff Witter, Treasurer of the Board
Jeff became involved with Nehemiah Partners while serving as Community Sailing Director for the Sandusky Sailing Club. Jeff has shared his passion for sailing and empowering the Nehemiah children on and off the water. Jeff serves on both the Re-Imagining and Program Committees at Nehemiah to promote the growth and implementation of programs.. Jeff worked in sales, marketing and organizational management for 25 years. He is currently self employed, owning Showcase Cabinet & Marine Restoration LLC, he is a principle of Witterhaven Marina & RV Campground and he works in the financial services industry, specializing in personal and small business income tax planning, preparation and financial reporting. Jeff hopes to use his business acumen to strengthen and evolve financial communications and technical aspects for Nehemiah’s programs and the Team of Directors.
Pastor Jay Halley, Board Member
Jay is Impact/Outreach Pastor at The Chapel in Sandusky, providing leadership in personal, local and global missional efforts, men’s ministry and general pastoring. Jay spent 25 years pastoring at the Chapel in Akron, OH where he became involved in urban ministry. Jay brings his missional approach to assist Nehemiah Partners in its effort to build unity in a diverse and often stressed community short on resources. His insight into cultural diversity, whether in ravaged northern India or in downtown Sandusky, is proving invaluable.
Jim Lewis, Board Member
Jim has been a long term member of Nehemiah Partners. Jim is employed at Metraco Transportation in Norwalk OH where he is the Director of Transportation. Jim brings a keen insight and appreciation for cultural diversity and the need for consistency and grace when reaching across community barriers. Jim is hands on weekly and has a loving heart for our kids, consistently showing a proven commitment to Nehemiah.
Angela Brickner, Board Member
Angela is the Director of Community Outreach at Firelands Regional Medical Center and has been employed there since 2009. As Director of Community Outreach, Angela strives to be connected throughout the county to help people access healthcare services, and achieve optimal health and wellness. She is also involved in other community initiatives such as the Erie County Chooses Healthy Living community health improvement plan, and with the United Way of Erie County health committee. In 2016, Angela joined the Nehemiah board and her knowledge of health and wellness and her passion for helping kids reach their highest potential will help achieve the mission at Nehemiah Partners.

Tondra Frisby, Nehemiah Executive Director
In 2010, Tondra began serving as a volunteer as one of the 4 Core Leaders of Nehemiah. In 2014 she became Program Director and in 2016, she was named Executive Director. Tondra combines a faith based approach to encouraging, empowering and educating our students, with grace-filled discipline and an over-the-top enthusiasm that literally lights up the Center. The kids love Tondra and she is always in the mix, all in 100%. She is a Certified Intervention Professional (C.I.P.).
Pat Marshall (“Granny Pat”), Nehemiah Receptionist
In 2012, Pat began volunteering as the attendance coordinator. Her presence was quickly recognized as the genuine grandmother role needed to make Nehemiah feel like home to our students. Granny Pat assists Tondra with monitoring the children, coordinating ComeBack Kids, and doing all the little tasks that make a difference in addition to answering the phones, greeting guests and maintaining the front desk.
